Broad bean advice please
« on: June 29, 2010, 16:08 »
Hello - I was thinking about bunging in some last broad bean seeds, hoping that there would be time for them to produce before cold weather sets in.  However, looking at my seeds i see i have Imperial Green Longpod and the planting advice says feb-march. Is there a reason why these can't do well if started now?  Apologies if this is a dopey question.

Think those guys prefer cool weather, which is why they are an early sow, and are not the fastest cropper.

But if you have a cool place to start them may be worth a try!
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....
