Unidentified plant

Please can sombody ID a plant for me by the following descriptionI have tried all my reference books but to no avail.Whislt out warking the dogsdown the lanes I have noticed a plant that looks for all the world like rhubarb I no it cant be ,I would be very gratefull if someone nose what it is

Could be burdock; does it look like THIS ?
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

yeh, i thought might be Gunnera, there are small ones as well as the giants.  What sort of position is it in, wet or dry.  Growing wild tho its more likely to be burdock

it is not burdock as I Know what it looks like.It is in a dry sunny position if I get the chance I will take a photo of it and post that cheers neil

Swiss Chard maybe.  I say that because the OH is always mistaking it for Rhubarb.  A wayward seed.

Could it be butterbur? The strange looking flowers have long gone but the huge leaves are  all that's left. Grows round your way and can take up lots of space. Google it and have a look.
The less time you have, the more becomes available.
