Hi Everyone. Just a quickie. One of my courgettes has started to flower, and although that is good, im a bit worried as the plant itself is still rather small. In fact it is only about 7" high and has the circumferance of a small diner plate. Will it be ok? I water them most days and feed them a diluted tomato feed ever 10 days or so. Should i be concerned?

If it's any consolation mine were very slow growing and still only about 18 inches across but getting to the stage where I'm giving courgettes away.

No, as long as the plant looks happy. You say it is small - is it planted out or in a pot? If in a pot, it may need more growing space for the roots. If in a big enough pot or planted out, carry on!

Feed it regularly and keep it watered in this hot weather - do it of an evening mind and you will be just fine.
