Dilution of tomato feed
« on: June 27, 2010, 10:36 »
I have half a bottle of tomato feed left from last year, but molluscs have eaten the print off the label.
I remember that it was the same dilution as another brand I had (Tomorite?) but can't actually remeber how many capfuls to how much water.
As it was the same for two different brands, I presume it's a fairly standard ratio. Anyone know?
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Mine says 2 capfuls to 4.5 litres of water.  Don't know if that's standard though!

Thanks. :)

What make is it?  The "4.5 litres" is ringing bells.

Edit, yes that's it. Looks pretty standard anyway, and is the same as Tomorite, which I have now found instructions for (on internet, not bottle) thanks again. :)

My one from Homebase shows "1/2 capfull  per 4.5 litres".  As it doesn't say "capfullS" any idea is it "half a capfull" or "one/two capfulls"?

Ok, now I'm worrying!
Still, for the weekly feed of tomatoes, it's probably not going to do any harm. It's not going to last long at two capfuls to a gallon though, so I guess I need to get into town pretty soon anyway!
