Turns out my lovely cheap Aldi gooseberry bushes are actually blackcurrants...

It's taken me over a year to realise.

maybe it's a new variety of small black goosgog that taste and look like blackcurrents?  :)

Recently I was looking at what I thought was a calabrese plant, thinking it looked a bit funny. Then it started to form a head and I now realize it's a sweetheart cabbage!!! A rather nice one too. I grew all my plants from seed, and frankly I had no recollection of it, and it was labelled as calabrese...

One thing I just love about growing anything, is when it doesn't "come up" to what it should be (sorry about the pun!) :blush:.  Its like when having a baby, the fun's taken out when you know what sex it is ???
