Hi All
Just had to share this.  My granddaughter came home from nursery very excited because they had got 3 chickens - she loves chickens but foxy got ours just before Christmas.
All the children help look after them, collect the eggs and feed them  There's also a small vegetable plot, a rabbit and they recycle!  Start them young and it all becomes second nature and normal

My son's school has just won an Eco award.  They recycle, have a nature garden and pond. Bird tables and a fairtrade tuck shop.....perhaps I will suggest they get some chickens!
