Sowing now!

Hi all this is my first year of growing and im very pleased with the results so far due to alot of advice from this site as im starting to  free up space is there anything i can sow now for a winter crop i.e cabbage,cauliflower,parsnips!If so could anyone advise me on such varieties thankyou.

Savoy cabbages are excellent though winter. Very hardy.

if you still have spare ground left , sow some green manure ! dig in before it flowers leave it for a couple of weeks then plant , used it for the first time this year great stuff , there are summer and winter types.

I think thats a good idea but the seed is so expensive or it seems so to me Is there a cheap way of doing it

Too late for parsnips but you'll still get a good crop of carrots, turnip and beetroot if you sow now.
