Hi all this is my first year of growing and im very pleased with the results so far due to alot of advice from this site :D as im starting to  free up space is there anything i can sow now for a winter crop i.e cabbage,cauliflower,parsnips!If so could anyone advise me on such varieties thankyou. :)

That shows you can sow calabrese for autumn picking, winter cauliflower, spring cabbage and swede and more carrots :)

Savoy cabbages are excellent though winter. Very hardy.

if you still have spare ground left , sow some green manure ! dig in before it flowers leave it for a couple of weeks then plant , used it for the first time this year great stuff , there are summer and winter types.

I think thats a good idea but the seed is so expensive or it seems so to me :unsure: Is there a cheap way of doing it :unsure:

Too late for parsnips but you'll still get a good crop of carrots, turnip and beetroot if you sow now.
