Er, lots, plenty and then a bit more.

I make it that you will need about 11,500 square inches of manure, but no idea how much that is in bags or trailers. (or is that inches squared!)

Think there is no such thing as too much, but would poss suggest having a trail spread to see how far it goes and work it from there!

Or wait for people with better maths to answer!

Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....

Voume wise it's 959 cu ft or 27.16 cu metres. (A lot).

Now - how much does manure weight per cu metre?

Oh - deduct the bit where you won't manure for you carrots & parsnips.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It won't be square anything as we're talking in 3 dimensions. That makes it cubic!

OK going on further & introducing guesswork.

A cubic meter of water weighs one tonne, so if you were obtaing this volume of water, you'd need 27 tonnes of it.

It will depend on the water content how much the manure weighs, so let's say it weighs half as much as water - you're still looking at 13.5 tonnes approx.

As I said - a lot.

Google tells me "Dry Manure" is 1.5 - 2.2 m3 per tonne.

So go ahead and get yourself 10t - But you can never have too much pooh.  :D

I am guessing its best not to mention in 'polite company' an evening spent discussing the weight of poop, and its ability to cover surfaces?

The next question should be the type, as I am sure goose poop is heavier than horse poo, from when I have helped dig out deep littered geese- and cow manure can be pretty weighty stuff too!

It's by getting out, that I learned things - no such thing as t'inteweb and Google in my day.

I see my guess was within Mr. Googles parameters.

10 tonnes is an awful lot.
