Hi

I have a broody Brahma, and nearly 3 weeks ago I put 6 fertilised eggs (from Redbro's) in a nest for her, 1 broke accidently soon after but my problem is that I have found 2 broken eggs today with dead chicks in them (perfectly formed). So now she has only 3 to hatch.
Is this a normal thing as I have never had a hen hatch eggs before, or has she accidently broken them herself?

When are they due to hatch?

Once a chick pips the shell, the structual integrity of the shell is greatly diminished, and a clumsy broody can squash them.
