Bare breasted......... Hen

Following the weekly close inspection of my girls I've noticed one of them is completely bare along the breast bone about a fingers width and a little flushed.
Broody ? I do keep finding a nest made underneath the nest box, or moulting which she seems to be doing slowly,

Will do, I thought so myself but never had one go broody on me before. Their hybrids so I didn't expect them to.

Now next question please tell me it's normal for a hen to develop spurs :?: :? as one of my girls has suddenly over the last month got little spurs, about 1" - 3/4 " long.

No and has not been for a quite a few weeks. She's getting bigger as well.

I have two spurred hens - they are game fowl and not hybrids though.

Can you feel her crop - is it normal?

There is worse ...

The two punishments are unrelated but apart from Aunty's naughty step, severe cases might get called a wassuck by muntjac.

Muntjac normally awards this accolade on posting any information which contravenes the policies of (a) the Royal Navy or, (b) his mum. Mumtjac (as she is presumably known), taught him all the bits that the Royal Marines didn't.

Sadly, muntjac has been posted AWOL from this forum for quite a while now.
