With the tomatoes I took no precautions DD, the potatoes were Setanta which are supposed to be the most blight resistant you can buy.

Hi Jay G, I managed to pick about twenty toms that were ok, the rest of the ripening and green fruit were brown on the bottom of the edible bit.

That does sound like the blight had reached the fruit; sorry to hear that.   :(

Hopefully you will be able to salvage your spuds.  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Yep, it can just blow in through the door/window.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

"Full Smith period" notification just received.

Sunday's got a dry forecast so I think I might just harvest all my maincrops anyway.  At least I'll minimise slug/wireworm stuff if I do it now.  Hopefully.

Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

You mean I've wasted the last 4 months or so banging on about the benefits of Dithane?
