First carrots

I thinned some carrots today. Chantenay on the right big enough to eat, Red Intermediate on the right not big enough but look as though they are going down a long way. Both sowed 15th March. Also picked first broad beans today so looking forward to dinner.

First meal of broad beans yesterday

Carrots = looking pretty but far too small to eat so none lifted yet.

One sweet pea though!

I grew Red intermediate last yr and the best tasting of all my carrots. Cant wait

Autumn King = wonderful for later in the year and right through to the spring
