Both of my mother hens have gone into a molt, is there any reason for this?
They both have two week old chicks and have started to lose feathers in the last few days, are they deficient in something? They have corn, chick crumbs and are on grass, they also have mealworms to share with their babies and grit.

They are probably just molting. Hens molt at different times of years but mostly end of winter.
