Of course I collar my Kale, Broccoli and Kohl Rabi, but is it just too much faffing to be putting collars on Swedes and Turnips? They are brassicas as well.

Nothing seems to eat my swedes and turnips except flea beetle and I don't suppose a collar will stop the little blighters, so I don't bother!
The less time you have, the more becomes available.

'collar' refers to a cabbage collar.  If you do a search for cabbage collar on the forum you'll get a description / how to make them, but they stop the cabbage root fly laying its eggs at the base of the stem and then the maggots munching through the stem
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
