Lol - I guess I am going to make a fair few mistakes along the way.

At the moment I must admit I am attracted to the theory and genetics of breeding as well as the appearance, egg laying, character and on and on.  I guess it will take time and experience to know which will become the most important factors.

I agree! *nods* after my next hatch, which is half for egg layers and half for "prettiness"  My next hatch next year is going to be purely for birds which look nice (but are pretty poor on the egg laying front)
