I have three fruit bushes ready to be planted inside a fruit cage. What distance should I leave between each bush.

Jazz :)

ummmm.... I would suggest if you possibly can, leaving them in their pots for now - especially if they are about to fruit.

Best time to plant soft fruits is in the winter when they are dormant - if you try to plant them now, and they might go into shock/ stressed mode, and you could be battling just to keep them alive.

I've always found potted bushes ready to plant at anytime as you're not disturbing the roots when they go in.
Space them roughly 5 ft apart on centre so they have about 2-1/2ft in either direction to spread when mature. This ensures good air flow to minimize future problems.

Yeh thats about right 5/6 ft
You can plant potted plants any time of the year, it's only bare rooted types that you have to plant in their dormancy.
