Hi Tosca, the veg patch was like a jungle when we got back - weeds everywhere! I guess we were lucky not to lose anything other than some basil which got caught by the frost. I put the earlies in bags on 1st of March but kept them in out of the bad frost until we went away. Had some on saturday and again tonight, really nice. What was the weather like whilst we were away. the ground seemed very dry so assumed there wasn't a lot of rain.

We had some rain but not much. It has only been warm since Thursday really, which is good for you as you were away so long. Up to then we were still having slight frosts, which most people wouldn't realise cos it would have been gone by the time they went out. Still scraping the car two weeks ago..ish. Don't half need rain though.

Hope you enjoyed your hols, must admit to a bit of jealousy.....
