Any ideas what this is?
« on: May 17, 2010, 20:35 »
I've got this on my new allotment. I haven't had chance for much of a poke around as it's buried in the undergrowth. Any ideas what the hell it is?!

Thanks in advance...

It's a tumbling compost bin, excellent bit of kit, it makes compost in no time.  Fill it up, and as it's on a frame on an axis you can spin it over really easily to aerate the whole lot in seconds.  If you rotate it every time you go to the plot you will have lovely compost in no time at all.

ours is great. it has more hole in the side. So when you turn it all the compost falls out ::)
So it should have wheels as well, so we could move it along the garden an fertilize as we tumble
always have a target
and an objective.

I found a ruddy gert compost bin yesterday!  The things folk throw away. Lucky you. Although I don't envy you having to turn it  :)
