supports for runner beans

my garden is already getting quite full, and i have been sowing some runner beans, so i was thinking of some space saving supports for them, and i came up with an idea, so hear goes, i have found some rope tied to plastic pegs so i was thinking about putting the pegs in the ground and nailing the top part of the rope to the top of the wall so the each little plant could climb up it.
might sound a little confusing, but i was wondering would it work? or would it need more room the height of the walls are around 6ft and the rope would be on a angle.

thanks thats what i will do, its just that i have no room for big cane supports, thats what i will do then. glad you understood me
