Fairies and Ladybirds

Unfortunately, my ladybirds, while reproducing with eagerness, seem to be losing the battle with the aphids. I am now considering washing up liquid, but worry that it may harm the beneficial bugs. Any advice?

Not sure to be honest.  Ladybirds are more mobile than aphids so might get out of the way.   Mind you, they might not come back if there is no food for them
