The main bbc news was forecasting minus 4 (!!!!!!!) for tonight, but the local said 2-3c.

Been lucky so far, but don't think I'll risk my taters tonight

Dunno if its any more/less accurate, but I quite like

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/invent/weathertext/

(Choose a region / town and then) in the Temperature Range "pane" there is a MAX / MIN button choice, and on the MIN one it shows a range of possible minimum temperature, together with "best bet"

I also like

http://www.meteoprog.co.uk/en/meteograms/

but it has been coming up with a warning about Malware quite often of late (because they are using some stupid advertise site which is, presumably, being hacked) so use that link with caution if your browser doesn't automatically alert to such things [or upgrade your browser!!]

4 degrees of frost early this morning in Worcestershire, Friday and Saturday morning is predicted too - is there no end to this.  I think early spuds are going to be in short supply this year.  My early spud bed resembles a series of in-line volcano's. :D

I've got 6 tubs in the greenhouse (3 x 3 tubers and 3 x 4 tubers) which should be good for about 4 - 6 weeks consumption. So far so good ... finger's crossed

No frost here this morning, seems milder - phew! :)
I'm queen of my own compost heap and I'm getting used to the smell.
