hi there,  all my girls were fine yesterday, but this morning i let maggie out and she had quite a mucky bottem, she is absolutely fine in her self, eating, drinking etc,  a silly question i know, but will she clean herself up, or will i have to give her a helping hand, she has had nothing different to my other girls and they are fine, could there be a problem with her,HELP,

Give her a wash and let her have a dust bath to dry off.

Has she had lots of greens or lettuce ?  that can give them the squits (I can spell diarrhea).

If it continues ask gain for advice and post a picture of the poo it you can.

Hi,

We have 2 orpington hens who both have mucky bottoms, but the rest of the chicken's are clean. The two hens are absolutely fine in themselves too.
As they are orpingtons, they have lots of fluff around their bottom and because of that, their droppings get caught in it.
I would suggest bathing the chicken in warm water to clean it up a bit.
Someone else may be able to give you more expert information but I would try helping them clean up before worrying if it is ill.
