Shouldn't worry too much,  it might save them from having their tops frosted by this weeks frosts like the rest of us! You won't have killed them I'm sure.

I planted all of mine on 17th March and not all of them are up yet, so don't panic  :)

If they are maincrops remember they grow more slowly too, so other people's might be first earlies  :D

I planted mine (second earlies) on 12th April and there's nothing showing yet. I was beginning to panic but with these lovely freezing cold nights we're having  >:( I'm actually quite pleased now.

Depends how deep you planted them. Two feet down and they might not be up till August

I didn't start planting mine until 11th (finished about the same time as you) and I've only had the first tiny bits showing through in the last week. First earlies have (unsurprisingly) come up first. Some of the maincrops have yet to surface at all.  So I don't think you need to be too concerned?
Hope this helps, Penny
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

My rockets went in late march and have been earthed up twice already, however the main crops that went in a couple of weeks later are still slumberin'.

The second earlies that were staggered between the firsts and the mains started to appear this week and have just been earthed up.
I hoe, I hoe, it's off to weed I go.

My Rocket are growing at an amazing pace, Anya doing reasonable well but the Wilja and Picassa are only just beginning to show their heads and then not all of them.

My Charlottes, Roosters and Pink Fir Apple have been earthed up a few times now, but still no sign of my Osprey or Sarpo Mira, all planted out late March and all at the same depth guess some are just slower to make an appearance than others...............doesn't stop me checking for signs of life at least 3 times a day!!........................I really must learn to be more patient!

my earlies all went into tubtrugs on 28th March the tubs are now full to the top with compost and the leaves are already several inches above that. Every time I added more compost the leaves broke through again the next day. They are growing like mad, maybe it was the calcified seaweed I added?
