I got a bag of oyster shell from farmways for my girls it's called oestergrit, my problem is the bits a big and the girls won't touch it. Is it the correct stuff? Will they eat it when they need it? Should I try and crush it?

How big is big? I'm surprised my darlings can swallow theirs (about the size of two peas, diameter not depth xD) but then again I've seen one swallow a big (i mean big) lump of potato!
