strange slug
« on: May 02, 2010, 18:10 »
After all the rain last night I found this strange 'visitor' on my lottie - seems too big to be a field slug?   Can anybody identify this?

I'm queen of my own compost heap and I'm getting used to the smell.

I think that is a Leopard slug , one of the good guys as it eats other slugs. :)

As long as he`s in your garden and not mine he`s a goodie. :D

He's an omnivore, so a goodie & a baddie all rolled into one gooey package.

Can you move him elsewhere though? With that camouflage, he's an accident waiting to happen..

One of these appeared in my garden last week.......I've never seen such a monster of a slug!  I didn't have the heart to kill it. Is it a new species to this country or have they always been lurking in the shrubbery
