[Hawkins]

Well I thought I had seen most things with my girls over the past year or so but I have one poorly chicken and just cant work out what is wrong.

One of my blackrocks less than a year old layed a soft egg sunday, she was a bit rought then monday as expected but just hasnt picked up and now she has almost stopped eating. Checked all her symptoms.

no smelly breath
no runny eyes
doesnt seem to have a temperature
crop all normal

only symptom is a very runny bum, she is drinking a lot because she must be dehydrated and picking at grass. I mashed up some keep well today and syringed it down so she had some food in her crop and fair play to her she did eat a bit more of it on her own.

Im going to worm them all again just in case

Any ideas? im back in work tomorrow but told dad to keep a close eye on her and ill ring him lunchtime for an update and if she isnt better off to the vet we go but this one has me really stumped.

She does sound poorly Em

Could be a bacterial incfection.  I would take her to the vets.
