Welly has been laying for  a while. The old owners were only getting 2 eggs a day from the three birds. They had the girls as POL and had them about 18 months.

Hello, soft eggs are quite often a sign of stress, probably in your hen's case as a result of the move to a new home.

Don't worry tomorrow the egg will probably be a hard shelled one, there is nothing you can do unless the problem persists.

Good luck

not all hens lay an egg daily, so they 2 out of 3 could mean that they are taking it in turns to have a day off. It's very rare that anybody gets a full house in the egg laying bingo
Staffies are softer than you think.
