hi all, I have an area  approx 30 ft x 6 ft that i ideally would like to get rotavated or similar.
its not to weedy but is quite compacted and a little stony,, anyways does anyone in the east yorks area know anywhere where i can hire one from thats cheap?? or better someone who could do it for me in exchange for printed paper?

30 x 6 isn't a massive size, so unless you have difficulties with mobility or are time bound  then digging with a fork or spade would be the very best option.

This year because of work commitments I rotavated my plot as opposed to the usual digging and I am paying for it now because the soil is okay for the top 3 inches but below that the soil is compacted and plant roots will struggle to get through that.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.
