Chicken Vaccinations
« on: April 22, 2010, 14:49 »
Hi

My mum has been given 7 we think 16 week old Warrens that we are pretty sure have not been vaccinated. Could anybody please tell us what vaccinations they should have?

Thanks  ;)
It is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Vaccinations usually come in batches of 1000 and are given at day old onwards. Owing to the size of the batches of vaccines most people who keep just small numbers of hens do not vaccinate their birds.
Staffies are softer than you think.

and most vaccinations are done by the time they are 16 weeks old anyway.  Just make sure the housekeeping is good and you should be fine.

Sometimes as Grumpydad knows, even vaccinated chickens die!
