Old hen
« on: April 21, 2010, 19:08 »
Hey, I have an old hen that hasn't been acting right. She has been pasting up and is now shaking her head alot. Does anyone know what this is? Should I put her out of her pain?    Thanks,
                                                                         Princess Poultry

does she have a temperature? - feel under her wing and then feel under a healthy hens wing.
does she have a rattly chest?
does she have snotty nostrils?
does she have bubbly eyes?
what do her poohs look like?
Is she eating and drinking ok?
Is her comb the correct colour and size?
Is she egg bound? - when did she last lay?
What does her crop feel like?
When was she last wormed?
How old is she?
Sorry for so many questions but you really have not given us much to go on.
