I have the oppurtunity of some decent patio slabs, i would like to lay a few small paths through my plot. Question is how do you go about it? i assume that some weed fabric layed under the slabs would suffice?

For a veg garden I'd probably do as mum suggests.

However, if you want them to last or it's more than just a handful of slabs then you're best laying a decent sub-base, such as scalpings/type 1 m.o.t.
