Well i am wright out of it, It just about scraped 6ft then the Foxes devasted my sweetcorn and the Sunflower was next to them and took abit of a battering,

hi there im nicky p i have a garden with sunflowers in it and i have got 2 that are 10ft and they havent got a head on them yet so i think they must be still growing i need a step ladder to get to the top of them to add more cains i wonder are they the biggiest yet in the wakefeild area thank you

In recent windy weather the tallest of ours bent over smashing the stem but not completely severing it. It was well "mashed" though and split. 

As my 95 yr old dad has been keenly watching its growth I fiddled about with a cane and some string and made a split eventually getting the thing upright again.

This morning, despite it looking in a droopy sorry state, it has picked up and lifted its head back skywards!   :happy:

In the recent winds I lost one of my 10ft sunflowers, not impressed!!!!!! I still have one that is at least 10ft and a couple that are on there way to measuring 10ft need to get tape measure out and check them.  Still not got heads on yet so hoping they will grow more.

Havnt measured my tallest one but its around 7-8 feet tall and still growing, russian giant so am hoping I still stand a chance with this, have a few others growing of different colours so will hopefully post some pics soon

Measured the tallest of my sunflowers yesterday and it measured 10ft 10inch and it is still growing.  I have 2 others that are a little bit shorter but haven't measured them as yet. Not sure which they are as a I planted a few different varieties.  They could either be a Tall Single or Autumn Beauty, will tell better once the heads come out.
