Hi.

Planted some brussels sprout seeds in pots a few weeks ago. They came up while I was on hols for a week (someone else watered them for me) but they're about two inches tall, with only their first leaves on. Obviously too dark in my shed.

Will they come good if I harden them off and keep them outside or should I start again?

yes do that, and when you get to plant them...then plant them a bit deeper in the ground than in the pot

You can plant most (all?) thing right up to their first seed leaves without them rotting off.

(I don't do that for Cucumbers, Melons, etc. as they are so fussy about getting their basal stems wet, but maybe even they don't mid up to the seed leaves?)

Brassicas seem to flop over, grow sideways, and all sorts such that I plant the even deeper to bury their crazy sideways growth! but I don't know if that is the norm?
