Soil for peas and carrots: need advice

I read on a vegetable growing book that having manure in the soil where peas and carrots grow is a problem (low yield for the first one, forking for the second one).
I have some raised beds filled with a mix of one third vermiculite, one third peat/coir, and one third mixed compost (roughly equal parts of wool compost, vermicast, green compost and composted horse manure). The composted horse manure is a small percentage of the mix, will it still cause problems or should I have a separate box with a different mix for these two crops?

First year growing, so no forking yet, just trying to prevent it 
So you think that even that small amount of composted manure will be a problem?
