cutting asparagus stops this month

dont ferget folks stop cutting ya sparrowgrass on the 21st june to giove it time to grow its ferns n recover . lime them after ya clear the rubbish away come spring .leave them standing over winter to protect the root stock .....currently cut over 4000 bunches from my field . all nice n tasty

Wow, I'd like some asparagus, but as we never seem to stay anywhere long enough to harvest them, well.... it's not worth planting any!!!!!

Welcome back Muntjac !

Growing all that asparagus, I will be picking your brains, we are preparing a large bed to plant next year.

This year we are forking out weeds and repeating this again and again , cos we dont like weedkillers.

come the autumn should we dig in some manure .

Where's the best place to get hold of plants ?
