just planted 150 peas in modules and put them in the unheated greenhouse today so keeping my fingers crossed that by the time they are 2'' tall the frosts will have passed and i can get them  in the bed. I'm growing a firm favourite in Early Onward dwarf .So you will be planting yours a bit earlier than me so good luck! :)

Planted my early twinkle direct two weeks ago and they are coming through just fine, will be looking at the others towards the end of the month.

I planted a third of my 10m row today, Early Onwards.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

little trick, sow them in box guttering undercover for an early start.when they get to 2"drag out a trench in the bed slightly deeper, and simply slide them in off the guttering.
works a treat for earlies.

Sounds a great idea Blackbob. I was wondering if you, or others , have used this method successfully with any other seedling plants?

it works with any crop apart from tapered root crops (carrots, parsnips, turnip).
4 ft lengths of guttering can be handled easily by 1 person.
