worzel's rhubarb

i have three rhubarb plants growing on allotment (champagne variety) they seem to be healthy enough all are well feed & watered plenty of leaves on each plant but the stems only ever seem to grow to 4-6 inches long would falsing this rhubarb pruduce longer stems

I'm no expert but I would have thought it's a bit late to start forcing rhubarb. Just eat what you've got and mulch it all over the winter and it will be better next year.

Think your right noshed I'm sure it's too late now. Give it plenty of muck over the winter.
