Does anyone have any good ideas for a cheap rhubarb forcer? Silly question but can rhubard be forced all year?

If your rhubarb is not in a prominent position where it has to look nice you could do as I did last yr at the allotment. I cut the bottom out of a flower bucket and put it over the plant, then put another flower bucket upside down over the bottomless bucket to make it taller, it worked well. I think you can only force rhubarb early spring as it grows all summer and then dies down and becomes dormant.

i use an old metal dustbin turned upside down, i inherited 5 when i took over my plot!

Ive used some green paper recycling bins they're about 22-24 " high. Seem to be working really well. I checked today as i left the plot and where the uncovered ones are still red blobs trying to shoot up , the covered ones are about 12" tall already. I'm well impressed with my first forcing attempt.
