planting leeks
« on: March 23, 2010, 09:25 »
Hi all,

I am planning on planting my leeks today using DD's cat litter tray method. I had planned on keeping them in an un heated greenhouse. Will this be ok or will the cold bother them?
Start at the beginning, and finish at the end!!

I hope it will be OK, mine are in the cold frame, I found that the roof had blown off it this morning.  It is a rather flimsy aluminium thing, I am not happy with it.  :(

They will be fine in a cold greenhouse or cold frame, or indeed outdoors really. They do not need to be pampered.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
