Ok heres what ive got going in the last week
« on: March 20, 2010, 20:40 »
In the conservatory
Tomatoes, Nasturtiums, Caulis , Onions

Leeks, Sweet Peas, Pansies

Tomato, cayennes, chilles, lettuce, broad beans

In the greenhouse
Kidney beans, Butternut Squash, Pumpkins, White Cabbages

More varieties of Cabbage, Caulis, Lettuce, Leeks

Sweetcorns, Spinach, Chard

Plus of course ive got 60 1st Earlies and 50 Maincrop already in, and 500 red/white onions overwintered.

I work on the theory if you plant enough stuff some of it is bound to go the distance.  8)

isnt it bit early for sweetcorn?
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Yes it is time to plant those cucumbers now  ;) as long as you have somewhere warm for them for the next few weeks of course  :D

I hvae only got my tomatoes and peppers started.  I don't dare put out the potatoes or onions yet for fear of frosts or even a bit more snow.

I thought I was behind until I've been up to the allotment this week, and all the old guys who get fab veg every year and win in the shows haven't really got much at all on the go yet.

There's some tomatoes, peppers and cabbages sown, and one of them has put onion sets in, but that's it !

...other than the fact that its still quite cool for all but hardy crops like onions, garlic, sweetpeas, lettuce and peas, there's little point rushing other plants in case of late frosts or cold spells.

.
You are probably right trilliam, I've planted onion sets, carrots, parsnips, beetroot and turnip in the ground already and have got seeds sprouting of asparagus, tomatoes, chilli, brocolli, cauli, sprouts, cabbage, leeks and swede, also I've put 2 rows of first earlies in the ground.
I just know I'm going to regret it but I just couldn't help myself
