Rats!

We have found fen traps very effective to get rid of any rats sniffing around our chicken shed. Unfortunatley, whereever there are chickens there will be rats, even if you remove all food each night.

The best bait we have used so far is tinned sardines, don't put it on the trap, it's best to have at least 3 traps surrounding the bait, more chance of catching them as they just can't resist.

Rats are so sneaky we just couldn't catch any to start with but with this method they were dropping like flys. 

P.s - the fen traps were off ebay, £5 each.
