A communal rotavator sounds like a great idea, I have a plot that is quite big and unless I get a rotavator I think I'll digging all year to get it ready. I have looked into hiring one for the weekend but its over £100 from HSS hire   I'm new to the allotment game and as yet I haven't seen any of the experienced allotment folk on site using one. They have a tiller but they said its for light work and I need a more industrial one. Does anyone have any advice about what one to get and where I might get it from without remortgaging my house? I would be most grateful for your advice!

This is sounding more like a great buisness proposition with every new post!
I'll be looking for work soon.
What's a fair price  to rotovate a plot? ;)

You tend to get paid in Tea Slowgrind hahahhaha. I dont have to hire or buy a Rotovator as i have one i can use any time and its still not worth taking it up the plot.
Thanks
Kris
