Aquatic plants

A quick question folks

Can I divide them now or is it too late?

I''ve found that once the plants are actively growing (no more ice and white stuff on the water and warmer days around) then it should be a good time...

Some aquatic plants do not need to be anchored in compost / pots and will soon make their own way to the nearest bank or anchor point on the bottom. I guess it depends how tidy you want your pond to be.

Leaving cleaning / re-organising a pond too far into spring has its draw-backs = tadpoles everywhere 

Must do mine this Spring as I missed giving it an overhaul in the autumn.
