can you freeze fresh leeks ?

can you freeze fresh leeks ?

just finished clearing the last of the leeks from the beds, have never tried freezing them before, and we have a few left, anyone tried freezing them ?

I do - I don't even bother to blanch them just chop them into 2" pieces, wash and drain them.  I freeze them open on a tray and then bag when frozed. :)

I do the same as Aunty, but I double bag them so the smell of onion doesn't permeate the rest of the freezer.

I dont blanch either, and I keep them bagged and in a separate drawer in my freezer
