Still way too cold here - my unheated greenhouse is at best 5 degrees at night, you really want 10 degrees not to cause problems.

Pot them on up to the cotyledons and leave them inside for a few weeks more... What variety are they?

Much much too cold outside for them, even with fleece protection. Keep them inside nice and snug, with a little aluminium foil refelctor to make sure they get enough light, as other wise they will just stop growing or plain die.

Shame if they did -- they look good  :D :D

I've got about 40! I went a bit mad but I plan to sell the surplus at the boot fairs! Mine are a bit smaller than those pictured, just the first two leaves at present. Can I leave them a bit longer before potting on into individual pots?

Ha Ha! very true. This is my first year growing from seed so this whole season is a learning curve. I reckon I could sell the surplus okay though, I want 5 plants for myself as I'll freeze any chillies I get. I reckon I could get 75p each so 35 @ 75p each is £26.25p. That's the plan anyway!!

Less the cost of compost and pots,it still sounds resonable Rhysdad... OR you could barter with another plot holder for some of their excess...That way you don't have to spend a good weather day(s) off the plot at a boot sale :)

I have 9 different varieties of chilli growing this year - all with two leaves at present.  Mine will be inside until mid April after that I will probably do what I did last year and heat the greenhouse overnight if it looks like being cold.

I still have a couple of plants left from last year which are in my mums conservatory and doing very well - they should be in flower by end of April and fruiting - well that is the plan.

Good luck with yours

Start with 3", then 6" and end up with 9" pots.
