I have a shady strip through the middle of my allotment thanks to a pain in the behind tree! what will be the best thing to grow in the shady strip?? (about two rows)

I have a shady spot in veg plot and I grew onion sets on it last year. They were a little slower than those in the sunny parts but still grew to the same size, just a week or so behind.

Lettuce quite like a bit of shade, also spinach. Broad beans have done OK in my shady bed and I had the most fantastic crop of rocket you've ever seen the year before last - and look at the price of it in the shops!

parsley and coriander like a bit of shade too.

How about some brassicas like caulis or calabrese that can blow if they get too much direct sun...?
