Please help! I have a pair of Chamois Poland chicks and I've just noticed they have quite a few little white lice on them. What can I use to get rid of them without harming the chicks?

Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but i would think you would be ok dusting them with diatom

I noticed some on Norman today, so will be dusting them all with Diatom tomorrow 
Flippin' lice, they are the bane of my life 
My chooks free range and I get a lot of rooks in my field which is where they pick up the lice......

Diatom is great for lice try get the powder right to the bottom of the feathers pay attention under the wings and vent and put some in the nest boxes,dust bath etc.

diatom will not harm the birds at all just dont get any on thier vent , frontline flea spray or the drops { cat only } are very affective but of course they are not recommended for birds but they work really well and very fast

There are no chemicals in diatom it will dry the lice up!
