First Strawberries

Hey peeps, thought we would share our first strawberries of the year

We shared ours with the blackbirds because we didn't get the nets on fast enough.

I have one more roof panel for my strawberry cage and nothing but an atomic bomb is going to get my strawberries but me!!  Got another week or two before anything turns pink or red on my strawb bed yet though.

Had one panel on this morning and blasted cat jumped straight in the cage.  I think they like the feel of the weed suppressant fabric, they certainly like to try their claws out on it.

I have got a few strawberry's that are turning pink but no red ones yet. Still pretty cold up 'er in Yorkshire but they should be turning red soon
