I just planted 10 summer and 10 autumn raspberries.

What is the difference in the way you care for them?  Pruning etc etc

Summer rasps fruit on last years growth, so no pruning after fruit.

Autumn rasps fruit on fresh growth, so prune to an inch or two above ground before growth starts.
Pruned my autumn ones last weekend.

That's not correct.

For summer raspberries, prune out the old wood on which you got the fruit this year. Leave the new growth for next year's fruit.
