HI GUY,WE WERE STRUCK WITH A FROST LASTNIGHT THAT WAS NOT FORECAST

The frost forecast for tonight (Wed 29th May) is widely forecast for Central/Southern /Eastern England the Met Office & BBC web sites. Minus 1 degree C in Mid-Bucks where I live.

I have spent the morning earthing up potatoes, and I'm now going off to mulch with straw/paper and cover with sheets, net curtains, tarpaulins, etc.

Thanks for that I had'nt realised we were due a frost.
Got no end to cover up, Potatos in flower, Corgettes out, Sweet corn etc etc.
Ah well. I've got a roll of cloth the wife was throwing out, that might do the job.
I've used anything in the past.
Rhubarb leaves or grass cuttings, i've used before.
As the great Percy Thrower used to say
